anywhere . . . crap is so close together . . . anything can desolder itself if there's too much heat from the iron . . . you only need 3-5 seconds of contact

lol..******! I got an 00' RCSB, but converting the interior over to the 03-07 style. Gonna be a long *** project, but im thinking red LEDs again.

so has anybody found a suitable purple LED yet?
and not that dim "UV" crap

i'm currently using some nice SMDs for a couple other applications, but i don't know how they would fare in the instruments

Default Multi-color

Thanks for this topic! I have been working up the courage to do this to my
ride, but I wanted to get an opinion first... I'm thinking about ordering blue
and red LED's, and having both colors in the instrument panel. Speedo would
be blue, I've got blue film to cover the odometer, message window.

What I'm wondering, from those that've already done this mod... would
different colors just sortof blend? Ya know, like into purple?

How were you able to get into the 4x4 switch? I got the buttons and stuff off but the bottom plastic would not come off the circuit board? My 4x4 buttons burned out.
