Default 2000 silverado 04-06 front end conversion

Is it tough?

I like the 04-06 front end so I wanna attempt the swap.

Hell, why not? General parts list or anything I need to get started on?

Not for sure, but I have heard the front clip will just bolt right up.

I did one, bought a 2000 GMC Sierra with no panels in front of the doors (someone hit a parked car drunk driving) I bought a new bumper, hood, grill, headlights, and fenders for an 06 silverado. Everything bolted up. The only thing I had to change was the frame horn for the bumper mount, had to grind it off and bolt on an 06 silverado frame horn. The holes for the bolt on frame horn were already there, just had to use a cutting wheel on an angle grinder to get the stock one off.

I wouldnt buy all the parts from them, but when i did it I looked at the LMC catalog, it has a really good explosion diagram in it.

I forgot you also need the plastic pieces that go on the core support to hold the headlights. You can use your stock headlight pins but you'll only need 2 of them, 1 per side.

I think HD clip from the 99-02s is about the best looking front end available for these trucks. And you could reuse more of your current parts too. Just my 2 cents...

Thanks guys. The hd front end I'm not to keen on. I want the 04-06 front end because it looks more aggressive if that makes any sense. After 6 years playing with my 2000 front end trying to get something out of it, I figure ill just give this a try.

Keep in mind the 03-05 and 06-07 hoods and grills are different. Everything else should be the same.

Anything between 03-06 will be fine with me. I'm going to shoot for 06. Between 03-06 I can't tell much of a difference. Ill be sure to get all matching years though thanks. Sorry for the double post
