We ran three times last night. First run 50mph roll, not a great spot in my truck for sure. He honked it off, I pull ahead half truck until about 80 and he rolls pass me pretty hard. Second run from a stop. He honks it off, I pull hard on him and put about two or so trucks on him until about 85mph, and he comes rolling pass me, let off around 100 and my front bumper was at his rear. Third run, he honks it off again 50mph roll again, but this time I manually downshift to 2nd and have my tow/haul on(its tuned for it), I pull ahead about a truck on the jump, end up hitting fuel shutoff at redline watching him in the mirror instead of my guages LOL, shifted to 3rd and still maintained a truck on him until about 90mph. Its crazy how much pull this thing has manually shifting it and starting out in the powerband instead of waiting on it to downshift. Not bad for being at about a 100hp disadvantage and running on 33" mud tires.

so a little old but I had a different friend pick up a 13 ram, quad cab, 4x4, hemi, and I believe he has 3.55 gears and heavy *** 20's, and before the snow flew...
we tried from a 40mph roll just lining up...honking and flooring it...I pulled right from the drop and only pulled harder as we got going. tried from a 60mph roll where I was in mid 4th on M-mode and he was in higher 3rd in M mode...and I pulled even harder and faster. we tried from a dig and I got on my stall a bit and before he was even outta first he was looking at my tail lights
I mentioned this to the mouthpiece ram friend I previously mentioned and he said "ya well...wait till I get my K&N and Hypertec then we'll see" my response.... cant wait to drink some free beer

Lol. And this surprised you how.... Like I said before, Hemi Rams are only fast on the internet. When you go to the track you can watch the blistering 15 and 16 second et's they run all night.

With any truck, the right pkg makes the difference. Most of the new Rams have 3;55 gears and open diff, that alone will kill ya if the weight don't....you come up against the guy who bought his truck to his spec(custom ordered) and you may be in for something.

A friends father has a '12, and he's doing some 4.10 gears and LT's, CAI, ported TB and a custom tune and we're supposed to line up together in the spring, ways away and not really a similar build considering i'll have my heads on by then but it'll still be the most modded ram I've come across

and on a side note, that friend with the '13 I mentioned found out about the open diff the hard way, that day we did that racing we were heading out of town to kinda do a year end cruise and burn out, and at first he was like "no way, I haven't even used my first tank of gas yet" but as everyone took their turn doing burnouts and donuts he caught that itch and decided to try....AAAND 1 tire fire and no donuts for him

No, no I won't. I had 392s withe junk LSD in my 09 and it was still turd slow..... and a lot of the on the lot rigs sold here are the same way. Lots of trucks are also super fast online... Is a reg cab express with 392s or a r/t with 4.10s quick... probably. But then so is a 5.3 gm so equipped by that rule.
Not to mention the Ram guys make 3.55s sound like the ideal gear for racing from a roll which is all I ever get involved with. Its not like anything else but whatever. Just because a 14 crew cab 4x4 Ram can't outrun my over 10 year old crew cab 2500 I'm okay with it.

Actually we are pretty quick. You must be racing stock ones, which are on heavy 22's.

There 3 I think now, RCSB hemis with stock camshafts in the 12's.

12.86 and 12.87 one is a 4x4 and went 12.97 I think.

Not too slow for bolt on trucks with converters....
