No doubt.. Anything can happen.

Just sounded like both of you were saying that is what should have happened. Driver error plays a huge part in it.
Just like when people run bikes, they usually beat the rider and not the bike. It takes a 130mph car to beat a modern 600.. I've pulled probably ten of them. I don't make threads about it though because I was a sold 7mph off what i knew i needed to beat the bike.

Last I was at the track this past week all the new 5.0's were having a hard time getting into the 12's, most were low 13's. Quite a few of them with mods also. Granted the local track is known too be pretty slow but non the less there is your mediocre drivers for example. I dont know what the magazines claim they run, I only know what I see. I have two friends with them also. I know that I have rode in one and they in my opinion run better then the new Camaro's.

Ive got a couple buddies with them and even on the worst track down here theyre all running 12.50-12.60 bone stock. Just putting a tire on one tho makes a big difference. Theyre fast cars, almost bought one a couple months ago but didnt want the insurance payment.

Exactly. Hard to touch the ol 6.2 taking off from a 20 roll with that cam and stall.

Well wether he could have took you or not , your truck is strong enough to play Around with them considering your weight , I'm glad I bought one of these 6.2s , they are damn strong stock , can't wait to cam/ long tube/ tune mine .

And if I ever lose to a new 5.0 I'll just go get the "old" truck
