Default Got walked bad

Coming home today and got behind another Toyota Tundra 5.7, except it was an extended cab version. Well we both get on it about the same time, and he just walked me bad all the way to the governor at 115. Dont know what he had done to it or if it was stock. My truck is a crewmax on some heavy LT 10ply oversized all terrains, and he was extended cab on street tires, so a little weight difference, but sure didn't expect the four or five trucks he put on me though LOL.

On a side note, I did kill a new silverado crewcab the other night. Didn't put up too much of a fight, and an 05 z71 last week that was an easy kill as well.

The tires and a little extra weight will easily make that difference. Why do you think everyone aroind here avoids big wheels and meaty tires like the plague?

I just bought a 15 tundra crewmax 2wd for a daily, and its damn quick for stock. Im sure the 6speed auto and 4.30 gears help that out. I want to run mine, and im pretty sure it will run mid 14s. My buddy from work and I were fooling around a little, he has 3000gt vr4, the twin turbo awd one. He has ran a best of 13.8 at 98, but runs mostly 14.1s. From a dig he got 2 cars, but didnt pull after that, then from a 40 roll, they stayed dead even.

Mine went 14.6 with traction problems and high humidity. Plus these heavy tires, should run at least a tenth or two better with good traction and lighter tires.

I have a 2015 Tundra double cab that's just an SR5 TRD. It's a 5.7 and 4.30's. It's meh performance wise..... either of my 6.2 F150's spank it hard even stock for stock. The XLT I have basically is bone stock and it's just 3.55 gears to boot. The Tundra really falls on its face on shifts honestly and that was with the stock tires on it. Now it has the same size but 10 ply BF KO2's so I imagine that won't help things but honestly driving it right before and after I can't tell any performance difference. We lost a stock Michelin at a whopping 1500 miles..... but roads covered in pit run do that to P rated tires. I mean it's not a dog at all, plus it's a really nice truck to drive. I also think it would run circles around pretty well any stock GM truck it came across but I don't find it all that spectacular either. It's good enough for my apprentice to drive around as a work rig though lol and I didn't buy it to race it.... or even drive it, lol. I never see it unless I am at work lol. I'm just hoping the supposed reliability is all that and I can get a decent service life out of it.

You have to cut off all the traction control stuff, otherwise it pulls a ton of timing on the 1-2 shift and holds it for a few seconds before giving the power back to you.Try cutting all that stuff off, its like a totally different truck, as well as using the sport shift mode. You dont have to manually shift it, but put it over there in 4th gear and let it shift itself up until that point.Pulls way harder and doesn't fall flat on the 1-2 shift. Just swapped my oversized all terrain 10 ply tires for the TSS wheels with factory size Hankook Ventus ST Rh06 tires. My other wheel/tire combo weighed in at just over 104lbs on a digital scale, and the new combo comes in just over 74lbs. Huge difference in performance as well as gas mileage, not to mention it rides ten times better.

I never drive with traction control enabled and it's still slow in my opinion lol. Traction on or off the truck still drives exactly the same in my opinion. I never have tried the sequential shift thing though so maybe that would help it out. One of these days I might try it again.... but it has no hope in hell against either of my Fords lol. I didn't buy it because I thought it was fast...
