Its been a while, but I have a small update. Finally had a little time this week to work on the truck again. I popped my Nav unit in there and got it all squared away. Pretty happy with it for the price.
It's insanely easy to remove and replace the head units on these trucks, but you have to have it unlocked by a dealership with the TechII in order to work. Its why I was dragging my heels putting it in... didn't know when I was going to have time to drop it off for a couple hours and I didnt want to be without the radio for a week or more.
I have all the gauges I need and have also bought a walbro 255, the goal is to install the blower next weekend.

Scott, the goal is to have it running with the blower first week in june. I know it will take some time to get the tune dialed and I don't want to beat on it until I get the tranny in there. Mid summer I want to have all the hard parts on and have it running well. By the fall I plan to have the 8 rib set up pushing 10+ PSI so that I can see what its got in her when the cool weather arrives.
Andy, Not sure what I'm doing with that T case yet. I had just planned to sell it. PM me info on the injectors. Why were you ditching them?
Pauly, I live in Norwell right now. Where are you from?

Alright I have a silly question... this kit is for a newer truck. the newer kits come with spaceres that go below the intake gaskets rather than a new knock sensor plate like the kits for the 04-06's came with. My question is whether these spacers will be enough or if they are a good option for my truck, or should I just choke up the cash for the new knock sensor plate?
Here is a picture of the spacers I am talking about.
Thanks for the help guys

it makes sense to me that the spacers would work with the older set up as well... who knows.
What is the reason for the LS2 style valley cover on the new engines? Is it shaped the way it is for a reason? Is there a reason that magnacharger could not just supply a new valley cover for those engines? My initial thought was that they came up with a new solution when the old answer could no longer be used... but again what the hell do I know.
Maybe without the sensors there the clearance needed is less so they felt they could rely on the spacers rather than a whole new valley cover and I will have to run the maggie valley cover after all.
