What sucks is i did the pin kit with both pins 180 from each other. I have the trunion kit from comp cams here too, with a cam swap would i still use those rockers..? I might buy those pullies seperate, buy the idler pullies 1st. They are pretty nice. I still need the hd tensioner and a 2.8 pulley, im going to order those 2 early next week after the holiday.

I seen the cam swaps done with leaving the stock lifters in and changing it without pulling the heads. If thats the case it would save me alot of time. Not sure i like the idea tho, the lifters could be rough for all i know but the motor is really quiet.

No need to swap lifters most often. Yes you would continue to use stock rockers.

If you pull the cam out and there is damage than Id replace the lifters. If they're quiet and the stock cam looks fine then there is no need. You won't go with loves that will be super hard on parts anyway.

Some parts same as post 7... this was really clean i side..I just had this all apart too right before the supercharger, I did a new oil pump, pickup, timing chain and gears then the crank pin kit. I figured with having over 100k on it that might help some. The water pump, themostat, hoses, knock sensors, headers, tr6 plugs and Taylor wires were done too. Not to mention the alternator died and I replaced it with a bigger one right before that.

When I do the cam it will be pulled apart again.... I'll start getting good at it.. lol. The cam should really wake it up. It runs good now but I want more. Not sure tho how far to push the stock bottom end.

love seeing builds like this. adding power to a lifted truck is a waste of time to some but personally I love it.
defanitly get a cam speced out for your combo, the looks you will get at a light with a lifted truck loping away is well worth the money. lol.

It isn't going to be cheap to make this thing move good, so far it runs good but is no race car. The power is still coming in later than i would like. I hope the 2.8 pulley helps. I will say tho its the only one that's straight axled on coilovers in our area. Not to mention supercharged...lol. Too alot of people the whole deals a waste, I really like it. Yes a cam is in store, it's in the works as soon as more play money arrives.. won't be long. I wonder what the cam will do for it. I'd imagine after that I'll need a converter too. I have been trying to do this build a lil extensive so I only need to do it one time.

A question for you guys that used the transgo hd2 kit for the 4l80e, what drill sizes are best to use that won't make it shift super hard..?... are the smallest going too little..? I'm going to have a tune done with stock trans settings so I can see how it is. Going to finally do the trunion kit too shortly.

The transgo hd2 kit is now in, not too nice of a job tho. Honestly it really sucked..lol. So i went with the average setting .086 drill size, everything went real good but a little messy. The pml trans pan with the drain plug helped some of the mess. It was refilled with gm trans fluid, so far so good. The tune was knocked back to super easy shifts just incase it shifted super firm to be on the safe side. It seems to shift decent, nothing crazy from 1-2. Now 2-3-4 are pretty soft. I am going to turn the pressures up in those to get it where i want. Hopefully that works out and its all good to go.

Not much has changed, no big upgrades like some of you guys. I did tho swap the 3.0 pulley for a 2.8. I couldn't believe the differance. The afr still stays on the throttle in the mid 11s and idles at 14.7. I'm suprised it's all still good, used a gates hd green belt too. Also changed the wheel and tire combo for winter, I picked up another set of mtr's and mounted em on black steel wheels. Not my favorite but it works.
