Default Supercharged,straight axled 03 2500hd

Here is the latest part of my build, started life as an 03 2500hd with 7 miles. First i did shorty headers, flowmaster exhaust and a 6 inch superlift with 35s. It then was cranked up to run 37s. After about 9 years and just reaching 100k the **** hit the fan. I straight axled the truck a few years ago and this year it was all redone, i hated everything about the old version. To start are pics of the frame being plated, new trans crossmember/4link tabs and how nice it fit on the frame. This is all fabbed up to bolt on, the crossmember is in 3 pieces so the center comes down easily.

Here is the 4 link mock up, the one bar gets tucked up inside and the other is at the frames bottom. The axle was pressure washed, cleaned and regeared to 5:13s. I used king 2.5x10 resi coilovers with a 400/500 spring combo. The 4 link joints are balistic 2.63 joints that are rebuildable. i used radflo 2.0x2 air bump stops in synergy bump cans. The swaybar is a speedway 1.25 solid bar with 15 inch curved arms.

The frame was all cleaned up and painted, its all now bolted together and ready to be tested. With it being driven in all the elements here in pa powder coat was skipped. i was afraid to spend the money on it and it peel off.

The testing worked great, the trackbar had to be moved some but everything else worked great. I didnt add pics of the transfercase swap, i removed the 263 electric shift and put in a reman np241 with a manual shift. I cut a hole in the floor and added the floor shifter from a work truck. It fit really nice and matches the interior, i pulled the transfercase module and the switches along with the wiring. Its all gone, inplace of the switch is a pocket from a 2wd truck that i picked up on ebay.

Now that the front end is all done and sitting pretty nice with 37s it's onto the rear. In the next set of pics is the 2.5 shackle flip, offroad traction bars and air bags for towing my mud truck. The rear was regeared to 5:13s also but a detroit locker was added instead of the factory garbage. While the rear axle was in pieces it was also pulled all apart pressure washed and redone end to end. Even the backing plates are now new..

Since the crossover pipe now gets super close to the front driveshaft it was time for an exhaust upgrade. So I ordered stainless works long tubes with 1 3/4 tubes. All the factory nonsense wa removed. I added a high flow cat to each side, 02 sensor bungs and a 3 inch corsa db catback. The driverside croccover pipe had to be bent some to clear the trans pan drain plug, im going to rebent the pipe again shortly so it sits more level. The pan i added last year is a pml deep pan, that and the tru cool 40k seem to work pretty good together.

Here is the latest addition. It was bought from blackbear performance a tvs 1900 with their autocal tuning package. It all came within 2 weeks after purchased. Since it was getting extra done the pan and front cover were pulled. I put a new oil pump pickup and timing set in. Filled it with 6 quarts of Mobil one and a delco filter. I'll post an oil pan pic, wow for 100k it's really clean. Since the intake was off and the valley cover was changed I put a new set of knock sensors in, cleaned the maf and the throttle body.

The intercooler fit about perfect but the hose routing thru the rad support sucked. Also I did the magnuson crank pin kit, I put the 2 pins in. The kit worked great and came with everything for under 100.00. Here's the finished pic, it fired and idled perfect with justin tune. I drove it and 3 pounds of boost was all it had. I ended up getting the wrong pulley shipped with it. So I had a 3.0 shipped, I installed that with a shorter belt and now has 7.5-8 pounds of boost. The tune worked out great too, I get 14.6 at idle, 12s under load and wot. The leanest it's ever been was 15.1. I will get more pics, i put in an autometer 0-15 boost gauge in the spot where the air bag switch was. The pocket is from cubby cam. Also up above in the console i put an aluminum mount in it and installed aeroforce interceptor scan gauges. They are the older style so i could not hook up a boost gauge or afr. So i used in one of them i put an aem wideband afr gauge.

Also added a upr catch can before the supercharger, its,a single inlet,outlet....I'm probably going to order a new one that's dual along with a 2.8 pulley and a hd tensioner from left coast joe.

Here are the finished videos of how it sits for now, the wheels are old school weld racing Cheyenne in 16.5x10. Not everyone's favorite but I like em. Tires are goodyear mtr 37-12.50-16.5s. The exhaust is a little raspy but it sounds pretty decent. The trucks no race car but it does really well for a truck of its size.
