Aftermarket aluminum blocks are made to handle a bit more power than my sleeved block. But not only does it have thicker and longer sleeves than a stock block but the deck has trusses welded in connecting each side of both decks. ERL says this setup is good to 1100HP at the crank. A 6 bolt block would help hold more power which ERL does make and carry. A Dart or RHS block is also a good choice above 1000HP if you're wanting to stay aluminum. I will hopefully be fine at the power levels I'm shooting for.

Whipple seems to think that I won't have problem with the NW 102mm TB. I have a LS2 90mm DBW TB I can bolt up to it to see if it makes difference and if the NW doesn't work out.

I know. What I meant to say was the thicker and stronger liners make that block good to 1000 crank HP just fine.

This article shows the truss design ERL uses and says a max of a 4.185 bore.

I'm out near the airport

And haha I just copied and pasted everything from another forum I'm on. The gauge pod was kinda where I started back at last year.

I think this will flow some exhaust gases well!!! It also looks like it will fit the header collectors with ease and barely any modification. I flipped the x pipe and put the front short pipes on and came up with slightly more than 20" center to center (When I mocked the headers up on the engine I got 20 1/4" center to center and 17" inside to inside). Weighed the whole thing and it came it at less than 15lbs!

Looking from one end of the x-pipe to the front short pipe

The X pipe has a arrow on it which I'm guessing is supposed to the flow direction through it but with it that way the center to center on the front short pipes is 21 3/4". Looking at the x pipe I don't see how flipping it to flow opposite the direction of the arrow could affect it greatly. What do you guys think?

Thanks... Things are going to slow down over the next 2 months as I'm planning on purchasing a two post lift for the garage. Hopefully the frame modifications will be done within that timeframe though. My expected month to finish up the drivetrain is September 2016. After that I'll still have exterior body mods (shaving stuff), and minor interior mods (leather seats recovered, door panels, chrome window switches), and those carbon ceramic brakes. The hope is to have a SEMA quality vehicle in the end.
