Default Party Like it's 1998

Member the 90s? I member.

Basic stuff stuck on a lifted K2500, 5.7 Vortec, 4L80e. K&N, Injectors, Walbro 255, headers, Powerdyne, Trans-Go, EFI-Live. Back then it would've been the $h!t but these days it's just keeping up with the Exhaust+Tune people. I had dyno'd it earlier NA. Just have a street file in it now for the blower but heading back to dyno tune it soon.

i got a 212/214 duration 111lsa cam package for it and a marine intake setup. Want to eventually pull it apart and change out the lifters, timing set, springs, and pushrods. At that point when I get it all back together I just want in the neighborhood of 350rwhp with the cam, intake, and 6psi (made 193rwhp 260rwtq NA with shorty headers). Kinda lame for a boosted small block but with the hoses cleaned up all black under the hood and the quiet mufflers it would be very subtle looking and still fun.

Well the throttle body on these has a small lip surface making it easy for the hat to come off even with the bypass when you snap the throttle shut. Got a new stainless steel hat on order that clamps down on the throttle body. The Powerdyne at 6 psi isn't very hot at full boost. But still i'll probably build an intercooler setup before next summer.

Yeah it was a 1 owner garage baby with 83k miles when I bought it back in february. Only mod was the lift kit and wheels the dealer had installed back when it was brand new.

I couldn't pass it up. (my phone is so old the pics are ****)

These were the cab bolts when I changed the bushings haha.

It is crazy how clean it is though. Been really nice to work on without rust. Once I loosened the shock bolts I was able to undo them by hand.

So everything had been mocked up temporary to make it work. Redoing it with mandrel bent and welded pipe and an Air/Water intercooler. Redoing the bypass and vacuum lines to clean everything up. Painting all the pipe satin black to blend it in. Also got a letter from the DMV saying new laws mean that any vehicle over 8,000lbs is inspections exempt after 10 years. Redoing the exhaust now with dual 2.5 inch off the headers to a dual-in dual-out Spintech 8000. Attaching to the current tail pipes.

Got all my gauges wired.

It's a big b!tch and it'll never be fast but at least it's fun.
