Default NNBS denali 6.2L dropped and blown build pics

finally getting around to showing some of the progress on this truck. Owned it for just over a year so i have a few pics of what ive done to start this off.

2008 Sierra Denali 6.2L AWD Purchased September of 2015 with 80 000 miles
100% stock really clean.

Here it is the day I picked it up
<a href="http://s1352.photobucket.com/user/jroctpb/media/IMG_1159_zpsgrxodpve.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1352.photobucket.com/albums/q656/jroctpb/IMG_1159_zpsgrxodpve.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo IMG_1159_zpsgrxodpve.jpg"/></a>

And here it is 1 year later
<a href="http://s1352.photobucket.com/user/jroctpb/media/IMG_0392_zpsslm0vfql.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1352.photobucket.com/albums/q656/jroctpb/IMG_0392_zpsslm0vfql.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo IMG_0392_zpsslm0vfql.jpg"/></a>

it was a tad low and was rubbing pretty bad so i brought it up about an inch front and rear
<a href="http://s1352.photobucket.com/user/jroctpb/media/image1%206_zpss9yngqmc.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1352.photobucket.com/albums/q656/jroctpb/image1%206_zpss9yngqmc.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo image1 6_zpss9yngqmc.jpg"/></a>

First up was full polish, removing the door molding ,running boards, also got some chrome 22" tbss wheels with nitto 420s (285/45)
<a href="http://s1352.photobucket.com/user/jroctpb/media/IMG_1170_zpspbcvrbns.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1352.photobucket.com/albums/q656/jroctpb/IMG_1170_zpspbcvrbns.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo IMG_1170_zpspbcvrbns.jpg"/></a>

Got a new grill for it

factory front
<a href="http://s1352.photobucket.com/user/jroctpb/media/IMG_0047_zps0l8pfds8.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1352.photobucket.com/albums/q656/jroctpb/IMG_0047_zps0l8pfds8.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo IMG_0047_zps0l8pfds8.jpg"/></a>

New mesh grill from Grillcraft and color matched the rest, also here you can see I milled up a little piece from aluminum for a 6.2L badge I bought.
<a href="http://s1352.photobucket.com/user/jroctpb/media/IMG_0045_zpsvv1x9hoi.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1352.photobucket.com/albums/q656/jroctpb/IMG_0045_zpsvv1x9hoi.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo IMG_0045_zpsvv1x9hoi.jpg"/></a>

Color matched hood molding to go with it
<a href="http://s1352.photobucket.com/user/jroctpb/media/IMG_0046_zpsqsovgxwv.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1352.photobucket.com/albums/q656/jroctpb/IMG_0046_zpsqsovgxwv.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo IMG_0046_zpsqsovgxwv.jpg"/></a>

Hood molding on

Then about 2 months after I bought it I found a really good deal locally for an Edelbrock Eforce supercharger. I REALLY REALLY wanted to go turbo for this truck, and I probably still will but this blower was a stupid good price.

Pinned the crank
<a href="http://s1352.photobucket.com/user/jroctpb/media/IMG_0176_zpsmusxuy1x.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1352.photobucket.com/albums/q656/jroctpb/IMG_0176_zpsmusxuy1x.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo IMG_0176_zpsmusxuy1x.jpg"/></a>

used the fuel pump kit from Edelbrock. Includes new drop in fuel hat assembly and new FPCM

<a href="http://s1352.photobucket.com/user/jroctpb/media/IMG_0177_zpsykclnjbs.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1352.photobucket.com/albums/q656/jroctpb/IMG_0177_zpsykclnjbs.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo IMG_0177_zpsykclnjbs.jpg"/></a>

Next up was some gauges.

Got these in the mail from Speedhut gauges. Really nice gauges, button to set high and low condition warning light and sweep recall to see where the gauge last peaked. Also I stole the hubs off some GM gauge needles and installed them on the gauges. these will be the exact needles that will eventually be in my cluster. And I will also get LEDs in my cluster soon so everything will match exactly.
The typical trio. Wideband, fuel pressure, and boost.

<a href="http://s1352.photobucket.com/user/jroctpb/media/IMG_0052_zps7xcbnbvy.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1352.photobucket.com/albums/q656/jroctpb/IMG_0052_zps7xcbnbvy.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo IMG_0052_zps7xcbnbvy.jpg"/></a>

I was going to mount the gauges to the A piller, but the factory piller has a textured surface to replicate the headliner material, and I couldn't find one that would match. Plus with the 5% tint I can barley see out my windows at night. Having some bright LED gauges right by the window would make it even worse.
So I built a dash pod out of a flat piece of plexi glass. I made it to look "GM" kinda, turned out pretty good I think. I will eventually texture it to match the dash.

<a href="http://s1352.photobucket.com/user/jroctpb/media/gauge%203_zpsyj5cps4z.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1352.photobucket.com/albums/q656/jroctpb/gauge%203_zpsyj5cps4z.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo gauge 3_zpsyj5cps4z.jpg"/></a>
<a href="http://s1352.photobucket.com/user/jroctpb/media/16_zpsbrsscqgy.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1352.photobucket.com/albums/q656/jroctpb/16_zpsbrsscqgy.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo 16_zpsbrsscqgy.jpg"/></a>

It mounts through the stereo speaker so all the wires run up through the opening there. Also the mounting holes are there. No holes in the dash, had to modify the speaker cover but if I ever wanna take it off i just need to buy a new speaker cover and no one will know it was ever there.

Really just bought the analog wideband to match the other gauges, its mostly just for looks. I wanted to run a digital one too just to read easier at a glance, plus the speedhut gauge runs off an AEM sensor so they both use the same o2 sensor.

here I am molesting my headlight switch
<a href="http://s1352.photobucket.com/user/jroctpb/media/image2_zpsxi5b9bxe.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1352.photobucket.com/albums/q656/jroctpb/image2_zpsxi5b9bxe.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo image2_zpsxi5b9bxe.jpg"/></a>

installed. Hard to tell and I dont really have any good pictures, but I also ditched the AEM gauge ring and machined one out of aluminum to match the other gauges. Also going to put the black face on it once I find where I put it haha.

Time for the supercharger install! Didnt really take any pictures during the install cause I was going full steam. Pretty straight forward anyway, only shitty part was getting the 80+ LB manifold assembly dropped on. My old man helped haha he balanced it on the rad support while I wedged my body into the engine bay.

Drilled some holes to run the coolant hoses. I put some brained nylon hose covers on to protect the hoses from the sharp edges.

Used the edlebrock handheld tuner to get her running then drove her right to davenport motorsports for a custom tune.
heres the truck making friends with a 4 digit HP twin turbo c6
<a href="http://s1352.photobucket.com/user/jroctpb/media/IMG_0264_zpsuidrksug.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1352.photobucket.com/albums/q656/jroctpb/IMG_0264_zpsuidrksug.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo IMG_0264_zpsuidrksug.jpg"/></a>

After the tune the truck is running really strong! Only running about 7psi and absolutely everything else is stock minus the fuel system. That being said I can say this is my first PD type blower, and its amazing! push the pedal ever so slightly and the power is right on tap. As mentioned earlier Im still most likely going to turbo it down the road if the trans tells me its okay with that. If I do keep the Eforce the entire cooling system is going to change.
My only real complaint with the edelbrock kit is that the cooling system is a joke. the recovery tank is the size of a pop can. The heat exchanger is sufficient, but with all the room these trucks have the sky is the limit. their other kits for mustangs and camaros have huge heat exchangers and large custom build recovery tanks. Seems like they really just slapped together the truck kits with off the shelf parts in an affternoon.... atleast the cooling system side, everything else is really nice.

This truck is in really good shape literally not any rust a single dent or scratch on it except.... the front bumper It was in rough shape! I kept putting it on the back burner to do other stuff, but finally I got around to it.

Before
<a href="http://s1352.photobucket.com/user/jroctpb/media/IMG_0349_zpsemaqt1nl.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1352.photobucket.com/albums/q656/jroctpb/IMG_0349_zpsemaqt1nl.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo IMG_0349_zpsemaqt1nl.jpg"/></a>

Bought a new face bar and welded in a piece of steel to fill in the slot and body worked it smooth, also got a mesh grill to match the upper one. Then I asked my paint guy if he could sand the texture out of the lower valance and color match it. He did an outstanding job!! Also no more ugly lower chin spoiler thing.
