Little update, got a new heat exchanger in the mail. Not terribly fancy, but its 24x6x2.5 from cxracing and the main reason for getting it is it is dual pass and has both 3/4" fittings on the same side. I plan to clean up the heat exchanger plumbing a lot and this will let me easily put both lines on the passenger side and I plan to move the pump over there also.
I also finally made my own tank to replace the stupid whipple one. It fits in the secondary battery tray and I got a 3" cap from ebay. I got it so big so I could easily put in frozen bottles or ice if I wanted to. Capacity is about a gallon. Fender hole should make it easy to see how hot/cold it gets. I need to write something clever on the tank also that you can see from the outside. I will probably powdercoat it black before I install it. Hate to mess up the theme now.
I accidentally welded the top on backwards (cap was supposed to be in front and not the back), but thats ok I can still take it off without removing it. I drilled and taped the back for a little vent so the tank will not be pressurized. It shouldnt ever get to boiling temperature anyway so I dont think that is much concern, but if it is then I can just plug the top.
I am going to convert all of the lines to 3/4" ID as right now it is a stupid mix of 5/8" and 3/4". This is probably overkill for the intercooler as the fttings on it are only -10 with the threads being -8 or something. Not totally sure on the intercooler side as the whipple tech wasnt much help, so I will pull them off and order what I need. I have 25ft of high temp silicone hose coming to do all of this with. Plan is to stick with the factory PCA pump, dont really see a big reason to upgrade.
I was originally going to use 1/2" npt fittings but the AN just made for an easier install even though the fittings are much more expesive. This is why the holes are larger than I wanted so the AN fittings side flush to the side instead of inset slightly.

So -10an fittings require a 1" socket and of course the little holes around the fittings on the manifold are juuuuust too small to get a socket on, so the blower has to come off to put the new fittings on there. Its not too bad with my spacer to make some room to get to the bolts, but it looks like my blower is leaking oil past the seals. I have noticed the oil level decreased slightly but not enough to worry about. I remember when I first got the blower it was oily also but I figured that was from the stock style PCV setup.
Always something it seems.
