BlackGMC build, suspension, fuel system, exhaust etc...
Well i figured i would start a build thread to show some of the stuff i have planning/working on for the truck...
Eventually i want to add more power but before that i wanted to address the suspension and fuel system so when i am ready i can add power and hook.
So i am gonna do a 4-Link. I got all the brackets, poly rod ends, ready to go but i have alot of prep work todo, and i still need to plan out the bar lengths and bracket placement.
So before i can add all of the above, i have to move the gas tank and exhaust...
So Fuel system is up first.
I am going to feed the factory fuel rails until i get around to swapping out the rails and rerunning the lines for better fuel pressure regulation.
Temporarily capped off the fuel feed until everything is buttoned up.
Fuel filter mounted on the passenger side frame rail.
Craddle/mount i made... the bottom is 16 gauge steel, with 1/8 sides and hangers.. The top bars are 3/16 steel. The cell was padded with thin foam (tool box liners, lol) so the cell has some cushion.
the fuel cell is 20 gallons, it has a sump with 2 -8 ports, and i had them add baffling to keep the fuel from sloshing around. I modified the filler neck to hopefully hopefully be able to use the stock fill location.
Shocks relocated, 3 new crossmembers, boxed in the frame around each crossmember. I am running 3 vents, lol.... 1 to the stock gas cap, and 1 down the passenger rail and 1 down the drivers rail. The feed is -8 and the return is -6.
You can't see it but i am running a single walbro 255, i choose the walbro because of the reliability of it. When i get to the point where i need a bigger pump i will run a second one, and keep the walbro running all the time.
Everything should clear the bed, i just need to notch parts of the bed supports.
More to come tomorrow, hopefully i will get around to running my new dual exhaust

i do the same thing with all my tools. they slowly make their way all over the garage, and i gotta stop what im doing and pick them up and put them back in my roll-around. about 30 minutes later, the process is repeated
so what are you big power plans down the road????
