Well Spring is coming upon us soon and I am starting to think about my mods I want to do and start my research. I think I want to update my rear end from stock 3.42 gears to 4.10 with a tru trac posi. I know there are different combos you can get but I have heard this place is good below. Can anyone vouge for them or suggest better places to get the parts. I think I saw this link in another thread one day.

I got a boner on the 1966 Bronco part. That's my next project as well. 3 of my neighbors have fully restored 66-77 onesthat are very tastefully done. Super jealous.

haha, Im not a Ford guy but I will agree those old ones are a thing of beauty when done. Ours is a rust bucket and will be a big job. Maybe one day your neighbor will sell it to you for a good price.

One small problem I am having is running a little hot intake temp on my ls3 intake. So thought I would wrap that up in my rear end upgrade when i do it. Oddly enough when i started research on lowering temps this was a new article on a site i visit. Below is the URL. Its a cheap buy. Anyone running something like this and give input.

Default Front end make over

The front of my truck looked horrible after years of being outside. The grille was faded along with all plastic. So bought a new paintable bumper, new plastic top and bottom, had the grille repainted, black bowtie, and got a set of black tahoe mirrors. Big difference in before and after

Did you ever figure out the power issues? Just looking at this thread now, it looks like the cam isn't spec'd for an ls3 head. They like a bit more duration on the exhaust side.

Yea I reached out to some people. TSP said that if i went with a bigger cam then I would loose more down low. Then I talked to someone at Brian Tooley and they said my cam is pretty much like their stage 4 truck cam and said if I went to TFS cathedral head it would pick it up a ton. I still have my 317 heads and truck intake. But i spent so much on this dam lsx conversion thinking it would be nice, not sure if i should revert back and keep this cam on a set of 317's and truck intake.

Well,

You have to ask yourself what's more important. Torque down low or hp up top? I'd want to see the tune. This setup should be well into the 400's at the tire, easily.

I guess it depends on the vehcile purpose, this isnt a full blown racer. I would take it to track every so often but mainly its for fun. Let me ask you this, would it be worth buying HP tuners and doing it myself to find hidden power? the tuner here is mainly f-body and mustangs. My debate was either HP tuners or beef up the rear end.

Looking better!

IMO you need to blackout the lower dam as well.
