I bet this truck has more in it than you think... id bet you can knock your 60' down to a 1.7x, which would put you at 12.5 or better in the long run.
I was surprised that my 60 foot was so slow at 1.9. It's not spinning the tires at all. I have tried flooring it off idle and brake stalling to 2500 and then put it to the carpet... It's the same each time. My rear end gear is a 3.70. Maybe next time I'll brake stall it higher. If I still can't improve my time, I'll put the 125 shot in and get my 11 second slip.

Those are DANG good times man!!

I've found a RCSB 2wd 95' I've been thinking about picking up and swaping all the stuff from my wrecked 95' z71. Your times make me wonder what my 403rwhp 6L would do in a 2wd!!

Thanks for the pics of the gauges. I am wanting to do them so bad... Was it a pain wiring them in or is it a cut the wires from the pigtails and connect type deal? I would be very greatful for any info you could give me.

I like you build man. I have an all aluminum 5.3 in my '96. It had a basic tune and I was (and still am as its not a daily) impressed with it. It is very quick. I am going to do a cam, converter and put it on nitrous and redo the wiring harness this winter if all goes as planned
The original cluster has one big pig tail that plugs in the back. That had most of what I needed. Yeah it was a bit of work, but I get a lot of compliments on my custom gauge cluster.
if you have questions I would be happy to help.
Your project sounds great. Keep it up.

Default Elevens and a CTS-V

I ran last Wednesday with a 125 shot of nitrous. Best run of three was 11.83 at 113.5 with a 1.74 60 foot, spraying once rolled out. The slip below was my first pass of the night, against a four door Cadillac CTS-V. It was a RACE! I got him off the line, had him good by the 1/8th, but he was reeling me in on the big end. I got him, but it was close. I wish I had a video, but the slip tells the story.

That looks like an awesome race! Congrats on the kill! I'm still fairly surprised to see your 60' isn't a little better. What size tires are you running on?

10 inch wide Mickey Thompson radials. I'm headed down one last time this season October 25th. It's the last Friday night of the season. I'll spray off the line and see what I can pull for a 60 foot. I think to pull a better 60 foot with out the nitrous I need lower rear end gears. I'm not keen on changing any portion of the setup at this point. The combination is super street friendly and I don't want to mess up a good thing looking for a couple tenths at the track.

Right... The last Friday night Street Night at NED was a few weeks ago. With the cool crisp air I hit two personal bests that night. On nitrous, 11.6 @113.8 1.65 60' (125 shot). I shut the nitrous off in pursuit of a new NA time, I managed a 12.4 @107.8 1.8 60'.
Super stimulated for my new times... Not sure I can ever top it on this setup, Rob informed me the DA that night was -1500 ft
I finally met Rob (Vortec350SS) at the track. People don't get any better than him.

Thanks Scott. That truck really moves out in a hurry! I had a few friends with me that night and they were all blown away.

I'm glad we finally got a chance to meet up. Hopefully I'll have my truck up there this spring ready to rock!
