I'm not sure how many people have checked in on my build, but progress is 0. Got picked up for a last minute deployment and had about 3 weeks to get all my crap straight. Mid March I threw the bed back on the truck, put the tires on and rolled it to my neighbors until i get back in October.

Since this is my first build and primarily an experiement, I've decided to throw in a little detour when i get back. Obviously I'll get it running again with the Hi-Ram, 127lb injectors, and 90mm TB. But i figure before i turbo it, i might as well see what she'll run with a 100-150 shot. Haven't dug too deep into how nitrous systems work, but I have plenty of time out here to do research.

While I'm away the only thing that should be happening to the truck is the frame and axle being painted by my neighbor. I'm hoping he's already done, but if not oh well. I'm gonna go back through the thread and try to figure out what mods got me what times, should be interesting to see. Take care and I'll be back at it in no time...with extra $$

So looking back through the build, it seems there's been little performance improvements since I've started HAHA. Oh well.

Date: 06/28/13
MODS: 4/6 drop, Isky Triple 12 cam, 91 tune, 6000rpm shift points, 3.42's and eaton tru-trac, CAI, magnaflow, street tires
Time: 2.7sec 60ft / 16.45sec @ 89.1mph

Date: 07/05/13
New Mods: E-fans, 6400 rpm shift points, spare tire removed
Time: 2.47 60ft, 15.35sec @ 94.5mph

Date: 02/09/14
New Mods: vette servo, 3200 stall, trucool 40k, 93 tune, assassin traction bars, removed hitch
Time: 2.21 60ft, 14.39sec @ 95.7mph

So, i guess I've come down over 2 seconds since my first mods. Hopefully this time next year I'll have the truck another 4 seconds faster.

Well, got back from deployment a few months ago and have been getting back to working on the truck. So far I've gotten the QA1's mounted in the back, removed the old fuel lines, started tearing into the wiring harness in the engine bay in order to clean it up and accommodate the new injector pigtails, installed ARP head studs and header studs along with LS9 gaskets, new LS7 lifters and lifter trays, and a bunch of other little stuff in preparation to get this thing running again after almost a year of sitting/not running.

I still have to finish bending new rear break lines, install the high ram, modify my CAI to fit with the new intake and TB and weld in a IAT temp sensor bung, install the gas tank, modified fuel bucket, and run the fuel lines, probably some other stuff and the TUNE! Not sure how to change the tune around for my larger injectors so I have to do some reading up on that subject. I'm hoping to hear it start up this month but who knows. Oh, and I also picked up some brand new boss 330 20inch rims off of CL that I'll probably use, as well as a bunch of other parts.

So the project isn't dead and its moving along slowly. Once I get it running, I'll be heading to the track to see what the gains are, and ordering the turbo kit.

So truck is coming along pretty good. Took the afternoon off and road around with fastjweb and his turbo'd 4.8l "StepChild". I cant wait to get mine running, let a lone turbo'd. Anyway, I'm hoping to have a start up video for y'all tomorrow. Got the fuel lines to make and run, and some more soldering under the hood to do, but its almost there.

The one thing I have a question about is changing the tune around for the 124lb injectors. I posted the tune and injector data in the GM Tuning section so if anyone wouldn't mind taking a look, verifying the changes, and trying to answer a few questions I have, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Havent posted in over a month, but the truck is on the road! Been driving it for the past 2 weeks. Fuel system consists for a walbro 450, -8 AN Feed, -6AN Return, and a Aeromotive A1000 FPR.

Not sure if its the right way to do it, but my PCV system seems to be working. I made the filter piece seen above between the FPR and Intake. So fresh air enters the crank case on the drivers side, travels through the engine and out the drivers side valve cover. Then the line travels to the inlet of a catch can with the outlet of the catch can going to my intake tube between the TB and MAF/Air Filter. Probably isn't a very strong vacuum but the catch can is trapping oily water.

I also got a rollpan, primered it, and installed it. I plan to shortly weld the roll pan in and do all of the body work. Should look good when its done.

And some finished pics under the hood:

And if you're wondering...those race stars aren't mine. Fastjweb let me try them on for size on my truck, and I think it looks killer:

I have a little bit of tuning left to do, but its almost there. Really looking forward to getting to the track one of these days...

So I got the truck turbo'd with a 76mm magnum. And thanks to some kind folks on here, I was able to figure out how to convert to a 2 bar OS and upgrade my HPTuners software. Still have a lot of clean up to do but I just wanted to get most of the work out of the way. Truck started up pretty decently, and died as I was backing out of the driveway. Fired it up again/a and took it on a 2 mile drive or so. Parked the truck in the driveway for about 15 minutes and now it won't stay running.

Has anyone had this issue before after turboing your truck and going to a 2 bar OS? For the short time the truck stays running, the wide band is saying 18 AFR and commanded is 14.7. Should I be getting that much more air at idle than what the truck was seeing in its n/a form? If that's the case, then the idle air tables need to be increased, or decreased...?

Anyway, battery got drained from trying to start it/staring at the tune so I guess I'll have to play with it tomorrow. Any tuning suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
