Default 03 Silverado Step Side Build "StepChild"

Ive been on here since 05, and am finally going to mod a single cab and going turbo. Back when I started on this site, 12's were fast for a truck, I remember thinking if I could get my 05 crew cab in the 14's, how wonderful that would be. I got addicted and since at the time there were not may crew cabs, I wanted to be the fastest. I got that truck to run 12's, it was fun, that truck was always a conversation at the track, because it was usually all cars. By the time I did that though, time and life let everybody around me make 12's look slow. I wanted to start fresh, so im going with a 4.8 turbo because thats whats in my budget. I want to see consistent 11's out of it, and just have a good time. As im writing this there will be 20 more 4.8 turbo trucks running 10s, but I can live with that, because I share that same passion, and that is to just go have fun and surprise some "race" cars out there. I will update as I go. Thanks

This was the truck how I bought it 6 months ago. Paid 8600 cash for it. 03 4.8 with 85,000 miles. no mods except SSS 20's

I am keeping the 3.42 gears that are in it. I will be using the Dieshwerkz 60lb direct replacement injectors since ive already owned a set and was happy. Fuel pump mod too, just undecided on which one as of yet. Looking for a used 80E, just doing shift kit in that, I have a extra cross member to mod, and im buying the "tunedbyfrost" harness because ive used it before on my crew cab, and like how it ran off the 60e tune. I will be doing the tru cool, with braided hoses, bypassing the radiator. And ill end up picking up stall converter too. Id like to run 10-12lbs daily driver

I will be using ls9 gaskets and ARP studs in case I go bigger later. I have 221/226 camotion cam that I can use, not sure yet, may have to get up with stock48 for something. Will be doing oil pump/push rods/springs too while im in there.

Looks like a good start man! Turbo 4.8's sure are getting poplular around here but for good reason

I would get with stock48 for a cam, to me that camotion cam seems a bit big for a DD turbo 4.8 but thats just me. Should be a fun build!

This site needs to be changed to turbotrucks.net

Looks like you have a good start and chose some good parts. How long until you receive the turbo kit?

Looks like a great start and sounds like a good solid build plan. Any plans towards lowering it a little, I think it would really set the truck off.

Sub's for progress.

Jason, you're an awesome influence buddy. You're the most passionate guy I've ever met when it comes to modifying and cruising in these trucks. I know it'll come out great and Jamie and I are down to help whenever we can.
