Intake popping HELP!
2000 7.3 20,000 m on rebuild everything looked good when it was torn down it has head studs new turbo with the waste gate delete, bully dog programmer.
It pop out of the intake when your driving it but it seems to drive ok
the turbo is an upgrade from stock but its only pushing 35 psi boost which is almost equal to the old turbo with the factory waste gate.
All the inj. are also new and have been checked.
Any ideas where to look next?

It does it idling, accel, and coast but it's very hard to hear when accel but it's still there. The boost gauge doesn't seem like it's as high as it should be and the noise is not consistant, but it does have decent power there is no lost drivability just not as much power as it should have.
Thanks for any input.

sound like an exhaust valve not opening. usually on cyl 8 caused from over-revving. or could just be a broke spring, rocker or pushrod. disable the cylinders one at a time. when you diasble the cylinder with the problem the popping will stop. or just disconnect the valve cover connector one side at a time to determine which side to pull.
