i think he got scared.
6.0's aren't all that amazing considering their best tuning which is SCT can only get them into the high 13's at BEST. Tuning on a duramax will get them into the 12's with a built trans, and high 13's on a mild tune thats good for the stock trans. ford guys always hype their sh*t up

they dude had a full size powerstroke and wasnt putting out any smoke at all. i figured id take the chance. i dont think he had the work done that he said he did. and dont think he thought id take him up on it.

my 6.0 just has full exhaust and a supercraps tuner and the times are in my sig. I put down almost 400to the rear wheels and i would say 0-40 i would almost race anything on the street. 30lb 4wd launch is scary.

just wanted to let you guys know the dude wasnt as dumb as i thought. he went out and did a bunch of stuff and this weekedn i watched him run a 8.20 in the 1/8th. my roomates gto is running 8.30.....its fast as hell for a powerstroke...

sounds like SCT and a custom xtreme tune. good for a 14 flat to high 13 1/4 mile then on top of that hes spraying it with a shot of nitrous or aftermarket turbo?

We got a couple of 6.0 powerjokes out here and they run decent... But I think you could have taken him to a quarter... The 6.0's have a nasty launch thats all.. And it depends on the year model as well, my buddy has an 03 excursion and he runs low low 14's... with a 1.8 60ft!!! I'm gunna have to say it looks hilarious runnin down the track next to a camaro lol! The 03's seem to run better than the other 6.0's... And their tranny's will only take so much...

powersmoke engines are terrible no matter what year model. i've seen several of them including one belonging to a friend of mine that were traded in for less than 5 grand. it's sad that you pay over 35-40K on a diesel truck and trade it in for a couple thousand bucks 5 years and 75,000 miles later. 75 is a good break in for a diesel at best. From what i hear, the transmissions in those things are just awful.

i dont know. all i know is i watched him beat a gto at the stip in the eighth. idk what hes got done to it. he swears its just stock with a programer. but hes full of crap. there is no way. hes pretty quick for a full size deisel. and at the moment i have no idea what im making. im doing an overhaul on the motor so im currently making zero. lol. i didnt believe it was that fast till i saw it for myself either. and i assure you its ****** quick.
