Default New yuppy here

Hello everybody how are you all doing.

name is mayko and I live in lower Alabama near the gulf.

im not new to performance cars (I come from Hondas and dsm) but I am new to trucks and American cars.

this weekend I should be buying either a 2000 z71 ext chevy v8
or a 2000 ext Silverado v8.

which ever of the two I get I will be doing a drop kit on them.

ive been reading trying to figure this truck drop kit out, and a few companys make kits for the 2wd and it looks pretty straight forward ( if not doing a c-cut).

now the 4wd is a different game, ive only found one company that makes a 2/2 kit belltach.

I would like to do a 2/4 on a 4wd and correct me if im worng from what I found was that

for the rear I would need to remove the stock block and get 2wd u-bolts and a leave spring hanger.
question? can I get a 2wd 2/4 hanger part and just use that to go lower in the back with new shocks

for the front I can lower the torsion bars and get 2in but just have my concerns about it.

I know this has been cover as to where I got my info but if any z71 guys could help me out buy giving me a parts list or a good site to shop off thanks.

here is what I got for the z71 if I pick it up parts list.
Belltech Sport Trucks and Muscle Cars

DJM2001-3/4 | DJM Suspension | DJM Suspension

just looking for some advise is anybody is using these or what they are using.

thanks for helping me out and letting me know which way to go.

will post pics of which ever one I get.

hi marc, thanks for the info but right now those are the only two trucks I can find around my area for the cash I have and I need a car by this weekend. hard to find a nice 1500 2wd under 200k miles

also what are some good key elements to look for on these trucks.
