Default Some runs against a YSI supercharged 350z

A guy from work, 350Z, built motor, 11.1, YSI blower around 20 psi, drag radials etc, car has gone 11.3 at 126 with his old vortech blower, so I told him i would run him to see where he stands now. I figured he would roll on me in the top end lol, but i gave it go anyways. First run was a 60-130, and last run was a 40-130ish, i spun a little on the 1-2 shift, but my truck responded much better from a 40 roll. Truck on 15 psi, 10.5 degrees, 10.2 afr, with the MP70mm. 93 oct pump gas.

I'm guessing you've got it tuned that way because you think it's safer. But the real question, is that really true? I know for a fact you are giving up a significant amount of power with that low of timing.

You are right sir, but it was to be safer because it was only 93 oct. A few people say its probably down 60+ hp. Didnt want to up the timing until i ran meth on it. Not sure on 15 psi how much it can handle in the timing department. On 10 degrees through first, then falling to 5-6 degrees due to iats, it ran 7.02 8th, 11.13 1/4. The plan is to bump it up when i run meth though.

GMC, what timing/afr would be more appropriate in your opinion? 10.8afr and 13 degrees?

The truck is running strong!

Me personally I would be nervous pushing it to 13* with 15lbs on pump gas only... doesnt mean I wouldnt try lol. But I certainly wouldn't give that advice.

I would say the mixture is definitely more than it needs to be... but i also don't really know how much leaner I would want to go.

Do yourself a favor and just order meth... put all this to rest and run faster times. Its a win/win.

Thats the next step for sure, i figured it was as safe as it could be right now, but still runs decent lol.

We're trying to keep these 4.8s alive down here in the ENC! Ha. I'd be nervous pushing 13 degrees too, but then again I'm on 13lbs and 15 degrees at 11.0 AFR so not too far away I guess.

Even increasing the timing at this point, he may hardly feel a difference because of how fast the IATs are climbing. I vote meth, then we'll throw 20+ degrees at it.
