Default 89 5.3 S10 project

I am needing some assistance on my project truck. I have the factory 4.3 in it but its fixing to kick the bucket with 314,300ish miles. I have a ton of questions like... Will the factory 700r4 tranny bolt up to the 5.3? Will the column shift lever match the new tranny(if I need to replace my factory 700r4) Are there any serious adjustments I will need to make? I have read somewhere that the motor will need to be moved 2" to the front..?? I have found a 5.3 with wiring, computer, tranny, and the a/c for $1,000 with 145k miles. I am fairly new to motor swaps so I need help. Has anyone done this project before?

I warn you to use the search button there, I've been a member there for about 6-7 years and they can come off about as friendly as 80-grit sand paper for toilet paper sometimes haha so dont open a thread "swapping a v8" cause you'll get lit up!
