seen you were building a 370 with a d1sc, and you had the 823 heads. what was the out come i am debating wether to go with the 243 or the 823s. i already have the 243s hand ported and will git them reported and valve job if i go this route. but just wanted to know whats your opinion. intake recomendations would help aswell thanks. pistons are je 288005.
243s compression would be 9.5 to 1
823 would be 9 to 1
Hey Zippy,
Wife's: 2002 Tahoe 2wd, 408, 4L60E, 3.42, Gov-Lock, 862 heads milled .015 with 2" Ferrara stainless intake valves, Patriot Dual Gold springs, 224/228 113LSA, 160º thermostat, Pacesetter 1 3/4" headers Zippy Programming.
Whats the rwhp on this set up, and whats your opinion of Pacesetter LT's for an LS1 T/A, I see your a tuner here in the Valley, do you work for a shop?
Hi Zippy,
You did a custom tune for me a couple yrs ago and my truck has remained as tuned since. Running Great! I would like to upgrade to a LS3 TB and 90mm J Tube with a Dr X link. Can you make the adjustments for this upgrade without doing a live tune?
TIA,
Mike
Sucks to hear about your old truck. I am happy with the results from my truck with the headers. It picked up 35RWHP from that. It's a noticable gain everywhere in the powerband. More to go, but trying to get a 408 done by next year for it.
