Disk Brake Brackets for 15 Wheel Conversion
Now its not a pain in the *** to put 15 wheels in the rear of our trucks. Anyone who has researched this knows there have always been two options when trying to do this. You could run a pair of S10 calipers, or make the swap to drum brakes. Both work but both have pretty heavy downsides. S10 calipers will only fit if you take half a day and grind them down to nothing. That becomes pretty dangerous when trying to stop at 140+mph at the end of the quarter mile. With drums, you add weight to the vehicle and dont have as much stopping power. Also the drum brake rear ends are different than the stock disc brake rear ends from the factory.
With my brackets, you retain disc brakes all the way around and loose 30lbs off your vehicles weight. NO grinding required if your wheel ID is more than 13-5/16, which should be almost all wheels out there. You should have better holding capabilities at the line while foot braking compared to a drum set up. I have tested these brackets on my truck, which was just converted over to a hydroboost set up, and they have help up without issue. The brackets are cut out of 6061 ½ aluminum. The downside to using these brackets is that you loose the stock emergency brake and the stock banjo should be replaced. So these might not work for you guys who have to pass a safety inspection.
These brackets were designed to run front OBS K1500 Non-F44 caliper, brake pads and rotor in the rear of our trucks. It is important to purchase the non heavy-duty chassis OBS caliper and the 1 thick rotor. I purchased everything online for less than $150 not including shipping. Here are the AC Delco part numbers I used:
18A271 - Rotors ($30.89 ea)
18FR743 - Right caliper ($30.89)
18FR744 - Left caliper ($30.89)
17D368M - Semi-metallic pads ($25.79 for two pair)
A pair of brackets will be $150 shipped.
PM me with any questions or to check availability.
Here are some pics of the brackets and install:
This is a pretty simple swap if you are mechanically inclined. Obviously altering your brake system is a major modification and only should be done by a professional. I can not take responsibility for any damage or injury that might occur from altering your brake system. With that said, Im very confident in this product and run it on my personal vehicle daily without issues. Please read through the instruction sheet before installing this kit.

Awesome for the drag racer who isnt concerned with a sfety inspection. I know on Facebook you stated you will be working on a similar set but maintaining the emergency brake system. Understandably, no production release date can be given but looking forward to those. Thatll be even more awesome. Thank you for the great contribution.
