Disk Brake Brackets for 15 Wheel Conversion
#11
Awesome for the drag racer who isnt concerned with a sfety inspection. I know on Facebook you stated you will be working on a similar set but maintaining the emergency brake system. Understandably, no production release date can be given but looking forward to those. Thatll be even more awesome. Thank you for the great contribution.
Glad you got them. Let me know how they turn out.
No sure how many I will be able to get this week. You can send a deposit to hold one like someone has done already for the new batch. Not necessary as I should be getting more than a few sets in.

I really want to run those wheels on my truck and have been eyeballing them for some time. Can't wait to see your install.
Update for you guys who are waiting. I expect to get a call from my guy today saying they are ready to pick up but haven't heard anything yet. So maybe it will be next week sometime. I'll keep this updated.

Whats the difference between the disk and drum axles other than the fact that they are two different ways to stop? So im guessing these wont fit the gmt900 trucks? I know my drums cant hold the rears for crap but it is easy to leave a nice smokeshow with em. Thanks

The axle housings themselves are different. The axle flange holes are clocked 45* from the disc housing putting the flange strait up and down. The four axle flange holes in my bracket would have to be cut in a different spot but could easily be done and made for the same price. The advantage to disc brakes should be better stopping power, and less heat retention for extreme braking. The discs will heat up and keep all that heat inside them causing stopping power to decrease as heat goes up. Disc brakes are much easier to cool down and keep in a safe operating range.
I don't see why they wouldn't fit the GMT900 trucks as I think the axle flange dimensions and depth are the same. Don't hold me to that as I don't have a GMT900 to test them on or get measurements from.
