But I wouldnt buy a lightning with 100k + miles just for the simple fact that there are so many low mile lightnings out there
And unless it has a built motor in it I would look for an unmolested(stock) one that will give you better starting platform. Most modded lightnings have been rode hard and put up wet no matter what the owners of them say.

Whens the last time i heard a stock supercharger failing? Um....
My truck has over 100,000 miles, runs perfect, starts everyday with no hiccups whatsoever, and has never left me stranded. It takes care of me so i take care of it (as in keep up with service).
Mainly the thing is to get a stockish truck, me i would stray away from modded trucks (as with any car) knowing that they have been driven hard, and with more wear and tear. Lightnings only weakpoint is the bottom end (wimpy rods), many guys have pushed over 500hp to the tire, with some not making it over 450hp, so if you see a full bolton truck that has not been taken care of, then steer away. Trans, rear end, driveshaft, etc, are undestructible so dont worry there. If you find a 99-00 make sure the intercooler recall was done.
By the way, it might better to ask this question on Lightningrodder.com.
