Default FINALLY got my truck back

Well after of being down for the count with a rod knock and never making it off the dyno (since March 1st) I got my truck back. I bought a used shortblock for ecoastkid and had Duffee Motorsports here in Phoenix install it after getting the motor most of the way out myself. Just wanted to make sure that it was done right the first time.

MY GOD the difference. It needs a tune and runs fat as hell up top but I just can't get enough. I haven't gotten on it at all but it is quieter than before and just rides sooooo much better than my Cobra (which is for sale). Gas be d@$%& for a week or so this will be my DD and the motorcycle will just sit.

Its good to be back

Tune on Saturday. Lets hope this one holds together.

Took the old shortblock apart yesterday. Rod bearings on #4 and #8 were spun inside the rod. Scarred up the rod badly, the crank was a littel scarred but looks still usable. All other bearings were clean and full of oil. Block looked amazing, could still see all the crosshatching.

I will get pictures when I can borrow a digital camera

What were you running to have your motor crap out on you. Im running more boost on my stock block, iv'e been thinking about throwing in some h-beam rods for a little insurance.

I was running 170+ IAT2's with 10 degrees of timing while trying to tune it. Then it sucked the oil pan dry and the rear bearings spun on the rod.
