Go for it, you rarely see them, they look good, run great.

+1 on the terrible mpg, friend has one. And when I have driven his, it's great for WOT runs, but it seems to lack the part throttle feel my Tahoe had (this was before the blower, cam and headers too). I think it was due to the loose stock converter.

For a daily, I wouldn't be happy with the gas mileage, but for a weekend truck, I would be all over it.

I dont have a SRT8, just a Grand Cherokee Limited 5.7. Its the wifes, it runs good but sucks gas and we have had so many stupid problems with it. Never again will there be a Jeep in my driveway.

The 5.7 Cherokee is a Jeep. The 6.1 Cherokee is a Mercedes. Not much common between the two other than some cosmetic.

The new SRT-8 Jeep is the Mercedes ML series platform, the reason why it's so good. (Chrysler didn't build it) The older SRT-8 Jeeps were only half Mercedes drivetrain.
