I had a L92 rocker fail and it ended up putting needle bearings all over the place. Here's an upgrade and a few pictures on how it's done using the Comp cams trunnion kit. Old rockers were sand blasted and then cleaned with varsol. A bench vise works great.

Wow, they turned out great. Did you sandblast the foot of the rocker too? I'm just wondering if it would cause premature wear on the tip of the valve.

I also did the trunion upgrade, but saw a few people were having the bearings walk out and snap rings breaking at the time (about a year ago). So I got some loctite 640 sleeve retainer and put that on before pressing the bearings in. It adds 3000 psi of shear strength to the press, so I feel better about it. Not saying they're still having this issue, just something I saw then. I also used primer before the sleeve retainer for added peace of mind. Here is what I used:

That's a good idea Jeebalow! I was going to go with the CHE bushed rockers for my build but seems a little overkill for my setup. Im just going to buy the blank rockers from summit and put the comp trunion upgrade in them.

I picked up a set of used rockers and installed the bearings
then just popped them on when i installed my cam, it saved me time

how many miles did you have on yours? I never had any problems with them on my 5.3 shifting at 6800 and I pulled it out at 215K miles. I just got a new set of l92 rockers for my 408 but can't really see a new set failing anytime soon.
