Default Lifters, help

I'm having trouble choosing a set of lifters for my engine. I'm going to be shifting around 7,000-7,500 rpm, I want to stay away from the ls7 lifters. Any help is appreciated thank you.

What type of spring pressure will you be running? Make sure you run a good pushrod also.

Comp short travels are decent and there are a few other short travel lifters out there that are for higher rpm use and still retain the ease of preload adjustment. On my Comps they call for 1/4 turn but I went a half turn because they were noisey at 1/4. Not sure what that relates to as far as preload .0XX" Best bet would be to go full solid but then you have to set lash and continually maintenance.

Quality issues as of late, and hard to determine if you are getting genuine ACDelco, or knock off crap.

I have Johnson link bars in my new motor. Quality lifter IMO.

Yes in Delco box

Are Johnson lifters better then the GM LS7s?

What?? In a Delco box, no.

I wouldn't run an LS7 if you gave them to me. All I can tell you is do your own research and decide for yourself.
