Default Head bolt choice with tvs 9psi

Getting ready next weekend to do my cam/dod/Afm delete and looking for advice on head bolts. New gm which I already have or arp.

At 9 psi either is likely fine. But I would do ARP so that you have margin if you turn it up and can reuse them if you need to.

Since you already have them, I'd use the GM bolts.

I'd go ARP also. I read an article today that said the GM bolts should never be reused and the single biggest failure on a LS motor is reusing bolts. FYI

post some pics when you do it if you would and an idea of how long it takes you if you would. I cant wait to start mine thanks.

something you may also want to think about is you may have VVT on the motor if its a LC9 5.3

my 2010 had it

for the insurance ARP are worth it especially if you ever plan to crank it up

if using a 3 bolt cam you will need a sprocket from a 06 vette to use a 3 bolt cam in that pcm
