From a roll im impressed how well this thing does with the stock converter. It used to drop to 35-3600 before the cam, now its more around 38-3900. My 1-2 shift is set at 6350 but shifts as low as soon as 6200 sometimes.

Once you get the tune dialed its gonna haul some serious ***!

Wow just realized you put down 300rw with the manifolds....That's impressive for the little triple 12. With longtubes you would gain a solid 20rwhp with stock cam and probably be creeping up to 330rw with the triple 12.

Yea 03sierraslt and Vortec350ss were giving the inside scope on how to raise the shift recovery and mainly it is all in the stall and shift points. They said raising the 1-2 shift point to 300rpm would give roughly 150rpm higher recovery.

How is you 60e holding up with the cam and 6350 shifts? any slippage or signs of wear? And did you have to tq management removed? I kept mine on to see how the 60e would responded to the cam, but it is holding up well so I will have the removed in the next tune.

with tow/haul on all TM is removed. the fluid color is good, shifts are nice and firm, and converter seems to be doing just fine. I really want to get headers and ory but im holding off on those at the moment, but will probably order some in the next week. I think Justin is gonna bump the shift points by another 100-200rpm again after the last data log I sent him.

I would even consider getting with Justin depending on how good your buddy is (no offense to him of course). I had a local shop do the initial tune and they just couldn't get it right.

are your upshift mph cells zero'd out? if not try that to get it to shift more consistant. with a mph and rpm set for wot shifts the computer tends to pick and choose which one it wants to use. if you zero out the mph wot shift cells it goes by rpm only. then look in your log to set your down shift mph's.

Well I have put roughly 500 miles on the cam. Did a 150 mile trip going 80-90 and filled up when I got into town. Was getting 20-21mpg at 80-90mph. Roads were fairly flat probably around 15-20miles of hills.

Betty the 9500ix didn't pick up and cops today, I guess they are all off duty for Easter.

I bet this trucks gets 23-24 cruising at 60mph, very happy with the cam. It has so much tq on the free way hardly every had to go past 1/4 throttle.

about 2100rpms at 90mph

Yea they are, but suck for launches. Pretty good for roll racing, 3.42s hold the gear for a long time compared to 4.10s I think 1-2 is around 53mph and 2-3 around 95, 3rd gear sucks but I never take the truck over a 100 driving or racing.

I have a set of 4.10s but this is my dd and I love the mpgs it is getting. I do a lot of highway driving also. I have such a fear of the gear lol
