Default camshaft position sensor location

where is the camshaft position sensor located on a 07 classic 5.3? im doing my cam swap soon and i dont want any suprises when i get into it.

should be at the rear of the engine just behind the valley cover. the oil sending unit should be on the drivers side and it should be towards the passenger side between the heads going into the block

didn't they move it to the front on the newer engines?

i think only gen 4's have it up front. just not sure at what point the 5.3 crossed to gen 4 teritory.

07 classics still utilize gen 3, 07-up NNBS utilize Gen 4.
