First off, before selecting a cam, let's determine what the goals for the truck are, what its use will be, and how many supporting mods you're going to do with it.

A cam for a single cab/shortbox "race truck" will be wildly different than a truck that you want to tow with every weekend.

Are you planning on changing anything with the cam (other than lifters, springs and pushrods)? A torque converter for example will change the cam selection. Will you be changing compression at all?

There are alot of variables here that we need to sit back and decide on before we choose the cam. (my guess is the comp cam you have listed above will not be well suited to your actual goals)
