is there usually enough PTV clearance in a stock 5.3 to run a .600
lift cam with a short dur. ? 224 deg. dished pistons. 799 heads
this is a running motor in truck that i want to put the cam in.

i think thats too much lift for a vvt cam i was checking that out when i first got my truck a couple years ago. one of the phaser limiters is safer i think the older version. check with tsp im thinkin 570 max on the 5.3 with flat tops and #799s. let me know thats probably in my future to igot the 1.8 yella terras. i was gonna get a cusyom ground vvt from sdpc with about 530 lift to ba safe. rite now i got the dod/vvt 500 lift comp cam with my 1.8s its about 536 lift.
