I have a 2000 chevy 1500 5.3. My plan is to do the kooks 1 7/8 LT headers/cam/heads this year. I'm turning 33" A/T Tires 20" rims. I saw another cam 215/223 112 lsa. Plans will eventually include changing the stall as well but one thing at a time.
would probably just stay with 1 3/4 primary's to a 3" collector, going that big on stick heads will cause turbulence In The exhaust and loss of power under the curve until closer to redline. 212/218 and 112 lsa would provide better toque with out a new torque converter. I had 35" on 20" and 4.56 gears and running 15psi on a 5.3 and pretty sure my 1 3/4 headers were just fine. I however would not run my sized cam 224/224 112 lsa without a stall
