Default 243 heads on 5.3

Heres the setup i plan on running. 243 heads milled .030 with a .040 head gasket. TSP 220 cam on a 112lsa. also going to get PRC valve springs retainers. Comps Trunion upgrade, LS2 timing chain, LS7 Lifters with new lifter trays and hardened pushrods gonna get a length checker for that.. I would just drop a LQ4 in but i dont want to do a tranny swap to the 4L80E because i bought the truck with a brand new transmisson in it. Just wanted yalls .2cents on what yall will think it will put down and also if i would be alright with piston to valve clearences.

Nice truck man!! Really like the drop on it. That 5.3 should really get that thing moving though!

I'm hitting the dyno in a few days to get tuned so I've been looking dyno sheets on the net to get an idea where I'm at.

I agree with chevy_king1500 Setups similar to yours I've seen net in that 280-320hp, depending on dyno, tune, and conditions. Best gauge to see where your at is looking at times instead.

What gears you runnin?

Its got 3.73 gears in it and im also doing electric fans on it while im at it just need to get the harness ordered. And do you think i would be happier with the TSP 224 instead of the 220. i know there very similar cams. but just wondering if i should 220 with 3200 stall or 224 with a 3600 stall and how would drivability be with stock stall on either of the cams until i can save for a stall?

Would i be alright with PTV Clearence with the TSP 224/224 .581 .581 on a 112LSA with 243 heads milled .030 with a .040 head gasket? and also any recommendations on what kind of head bolts? Like ARP or just GM Bolts? and also are they going to be the Long or short head bolts going from 706's to 243's.

If the 224/3600 combo is your ceiling then I'd say go with that. That's been a proven setup on 5.3s. I'm on the I should have went higher on my stall wagon lol.
