Well guys I don't get on here but every once in a while, but just an update. I just got back from the Turkey rod run in Daytona (bout a 300 mile round trip) and I beat on it pretty hard this weekend. Burn outs, racing,a lot of wot pulls and it has not repeated the issue at all. Trans temps are staying normal and its still shifting very firm like it should. So I don't know what the issue was but it appears to be gone.

Care to toss your tuner's name to these wolves?

if youre not logging the truck then you have no clue if tune is spot on or not, going off a hunch if tuner is so great is a good way to have something hurt
He has tuned a vast variety of things. Evos, cobalts, lsx engines, Nissans, JDM cars, fords, ect.
I have a wideband to watch the engine side of things and I have a Snap On Solus Ultra that I can watch the trans/engine parameters with and log. But like I said, the problem is gone now and if it comes back I'll look into replacing the trans. Then, Upon failure analysis, I'll be able to tell if it was tune or hard part related. If it was the tune that killed it I'll look into finding another tuner.

Hey if you don't mind me asking what did you do? I have a 2007 completely stock and it has a flare/hard **** into 3rd when it warms up. I took it to a transmission shop and he said it was the drum could be cracked, but the only option he gave me was a new transmission which he quoted me at $3800 CAN. Iv just been living with it and not ******* it to hard but if there is a cheaper way to fix it that would be sweet.
