My torque curve is not as bad as you would think. 380 foot pounds at 2200rpm up to about 490 at 4400rpms and only drops as low as 480 at 5800.

If a Maggie setup makes 490tq peak then it would most likely be 450 ish at the same 2200 rpm. That's all that's being implied, that's a big difference at low rpm.

I expected it to be a lot worse than it is to be honest. The long tube headers probably hurt it quite a bit down low. The main reason I went with a procharger was greater power potential and much cooler charge. I think I would have outgrown a 1900 blower. Now there are times that I regret not going with the 2.9l Whipple though....

Funny you were worried about outgrowing a 1900 but went with a P1. The 1900 could make more power than a p1.

I'm glad everything seems to be working out for you. Must have really sucked to think your trans was already gone.

I have a 08 Denali with a lsx454 in front of the stock 140K 6l80e. She is not driven the most gentle. These transmissions are bad about drums cracking at the weld and causing a flare/slip going into 3rd. I have already delt with that on mine.

My tune is spot on and even has some torque management left in so he was in disbelief when I told him what happened. I did what he suggested and much to my disbelief it worked. I have since beat on this thing pretty hard to try to replicate the problem and it shifts hard like it did before this ever happened. I'll be in Daytona this weekend beating on it pretty good at the Turkey Rod Run so we will see what happens....
so your tuner has 15yrs of tuning LS motors? so tell us how he has that experience then..
Care to toss your tuner's name to these wolves?

if youre not logging the truck then you have no clue if tune is spot on or not, going off a hunch if tuner is so great is a good way to have something hurt

Doesn't say 15 years tuning LS motors. Just says 15 years tuning experience. Even if he did i'm pretty sure the LS1 came out in 1998, over 16 years ago.

Change tuners ASAP my friend!!!!
Many on here has seen my truck in person run and run from 620 up 817rwhp in my 6L80e for over 2yrs. You can't just let any tuner touch them. CarbonGMC is another one that's made crazy power in his 6L80e too. There's tuners on here that have killed bolt on trucks locally with just bolt ons, while good tuners push them and last.

Your trans tune is NOT dead on buddy
