Did you actually bring it in for an alignment and it was still in spec?

Have always thought a height adjustment up or down 0.5" was o.k, but never heard of still being in spec after 1.5-2".

On the 010 truck the 1.5s I bought the manufacture said 1.5 is ok no alignment 2.0 you should take it in. After about 40k miles I took it in and the toe was out just a **** hair. They made minor adj. but was not ness.

The new engines are already broken in before installation at the factory, or so i was told.

You know i believe you are right that they are broke in at the factory in the sense of you can take any new GM and flat foot it from day one and never know the longevity, likely to be 200k mi. 300k mi??

What ive found over the years was that you never got max fuel mileage until 8-10k miles

Ive felt that GMs seem to run better after 10k miles and often wondered with the newest of GMs the have the PCMs hold something back until a preprogramed certain number of miles.

IDK

When they say dont tow with it until 500 miles,I take that to be true, and i believe in heat cycles to be a good thing on new parts

I've always noticed the same thing with the fuel mileage increasing during the first 10k or so.

my mileage increased steadily for a few months after I passed 10K in mine, and that's even after the converter went in it. It's dropped off a little bit since mid November when the gas stations started carrying the "winter mix" fuel but it's still right around 20MPG.

Anyone ever use Opti-coat pro on there paint put on by a profesional?[/QUOTE]

How's the new truck? I totaled the Craptor and got a F350. I'm letting the points add up on my GM Card. I buy a lot of drugs with it and pay it off as I go. Needless to say the points add up quickly. Oh yeah, for those that do not know I own a pharmacy.....I'm not talking about the local dealer using his iphone for drug transactions haha. I want a new GMC with the tow package after a couple years....no telling how many points I may have by then. I figured I'd give the 8spd time to work some bugs out until then. Also you should be supercharged by then and we all can see what kind of power is available.
