Buying new 2015 GMC Sierra RCSB tomorrow.
Added pics at the bottom of this first post.
Guy's, I'm going on a road trip tomorrow to Conway, Arkansas to pick up my new GMC Sierra, Iridium Metallic with Blk/Ash interior, RCSB, 5.3 Direct Injected, 6 spd auto, towing pkg with 3:42s,Convienience Pkg, & 17" base wheels.
Looking forward to getting it and making the 425 mile drive back home to here in Southeast Texas. Seems crazy going that far away to buy a truck, but there are just not that many RCSB 5.3 trucks around on the dealer lots. This particular dealer is willing to sell it $1700.00 cheaper than any dealer here local, so he gets my money. I think a 7 hour drive is worth saving that amount of money. That pretty much covered my TT & L on the deal.
Will be looking to do a 3/5 lowering kit as well as upgrade to some nice factory type 20" Wheel & Tire pkg. May also consider some exhaust & CAI upgrades with tune a little down the road.
I need your opinions on the best lowering kits available that maintain a good ride. I'm 53 and don't want my new truck to ride like a chuck wagon, don't want any bumping, scraping, or rubbing problems. Willing to spend money on a quality complete kit. What do y'all think?
I will post pics when I get it home and try to post more as the mods take place.

Thanks! I am getting ready to leave as I type this. Gonna be a long day of driving, about 850 miles & 14 hours or so of driving but I am excited to get the new truck. Been about 14 years since I bought my last new truck. That was a 2001 GMC RCSB Sportside.
Whewhoo!

Thanks! I appreciate that.
I will do that. But, now I have a major clean up and detail to do since it rained cats & dogs all the way home from central Arkansas all the way down to Southeast Texas. But, praise GOD that we made it home safe and no incidents. The weather reports showing tornado & hail warnings all around where we drove through!
Well I don't know that it was the deal of the century, but I feel pretty comfortable with it especially seeing as there are not that many of the RCSB 5.3s sitting on dealers lots and they just don't discount these nearly as much as they do the 45-55K Crew Cabs. I found out I got a $1700.00 rebate that was not supposed to be in effect.
I got the truck for $ 25,719.11 straight out purchase no trades involved which is $5000.00 off MSRP. There were very few of the trucks to be had after searching around, and most of the dealers only wanted to discount them about $3000.00-$3200.00.
I think its going to be a fun little truck. I want to do a few appearance mods first such as tint, wheels & tires, mild lowering kit. Maybe in the near future do some light performance mods as well.
Sure seems to have a lot of torque management in the tune at the top of each gear on the next trans upshift. I bet a good tune could really make a big difference.

Hey Joseph
Been a while, how have you been doing? Yeah, I have been looking for a super clean used truck for the last two months or so. I guess I'm my own worst enemy because I am too picky and want something nothing I was looking for a crew cab just because I like the look, but used crew cabs still command high prices even with high mileage.
I decided to buy a new truck but didn't want to spend 40K or so. Then I figured I could get by with a RCSB since I am no longer married and don't have any kids. Of course being a gear head I had to have the DI 5.3 engine in it just a shame they don't offer it with the 6.2
