Once both the wife an I can get past our business travel I'll get the LT1 intake installed. Hope I can get to the track before they close for the season.

Part of me wants a 2015 ecoboost but they're 50k with low options. I love my Chevy but I wish gm would ditch the 3.08 for a more aggressive towing gear.
I got the max trailer package. It comes with 3.73's. I test drove a 3.42 geared truck and there was a big Difference.

I got my truck November of 2013 so there was no max package yet. I'm probably going to get the gear swap for this truck. $2000 is a little easier to swallow than 50k for an ecoboost

Toss a blower on it.

3.08s are perfect for a boosted application...and a blower will be awesome for towing

I was debating the Whipple. But it's the 3.08 that can't handle the weight. My GTO is 3800lbs plus a trailer and passengers, before you know it you're at the 7200lbs gvw.

You'll see a big difference with 3.73's.

I figured as much. I found the front diff with 3.73s for $900 ish and the rear gear kit is 1300 with a Detroit true trac. I wanna see what gears they're using if they're aftermarket or GM

Yeah, I guess you need the low end with that weight.

It will be a new truck with 3.73's in it.

I have 3.42 in my 14 RCSB...it gets up and goes in a hurry...after the obligatory throttle delay of course.

I am going 4.10 in my truck if I keep it...although I may slap a blower on it instead. 3.42 is kind of a happy medium for blown apps. I am debating selling it and getting into a square body though....

too many decisions...

373 gear, 3200 stall and kooks headers are a lot of fun in a RCSB
