Why, specifically, do you prefer a 1 3/4" primary header on a 5.3L engine?

Specifically because I saw better average power using them vs a 1 7/8". On larger motors 1 7/8" would be my choice for the same reasoning then 2" and so on.

finally an actual answer... so those LS engines you're referencing... theyre just like these DI engines this section is focused on right? They make power in all the same places, all the same ways, etc, etc...

There are similarities but that is besides the point when I have multiple Gen V motors to reference in the past year or so.
I'm not here to sell you anything though and you seem convinced that 1 7/8 is better so stick with that. I'll go with what I have seen work best for the application Im discussing which is a stock cam 5.3.

I'm asking for informational purposes... you seem to fancy yourself as pretty knowledgable, however you seem very reluctant to bestow any of that knowledge upon the rest of us other than the most generic of information. I'm simply asking for elaboration.

The way post 23 was composed leads me to believe you are looking to disprove not seek information. I don't really fancy anything, just speaking from my experience which includes a much larger sample group then my own vehicles.

I don't feel the need to convince you if you don't agree. I simply made a statement stating my plans for the truck.

Again it's not a matter of agree or disagree... I'm asking WHY. But you seem to be unable to explain what differences are there between the two on a like sized engine. I'm not sold on one side or the other really. I went with what I did because they align with future needs, I'm always open to learning though, that is why I am asking you.

Stop being a little bitch about it and answer the question if you actually have an answer man, why's that so hard? This forum is about sharing information isnt it?

You are the one being a bitch here. I already said I have seen better average power on the dyno with a stock cam gen v 5.3 with 1 3/4 headers. Both sets of headers were ARH so differences in primary length and collector design are not at play. Why? PV=nRT. There is nothing else to share. I'm really not sure why this topic has you so upset.
