Launching in 4WD, then switching to 2WD after the launch I get these numbers:

13.91 1/4 mile at 105 mph. 60' was 2.32 sec. 1/8 mile was 9.10 @ 81 mph. 0-100 mph was 12.74 sec. Those are my best times to date. Not track times but from a phone app accelerometer. It seems to be pretty accurate.

That's naturally aspirated, long tube headers, C7 intake manifold, CAI, and custom tune.

Even though you switch from 4 wd to 2 wd when doing your run you will have to let off on the gas pedal for it to go into 2 wd.

I don't think that is correct. If you launch in 4wd, then switch to 2WD while in 1st and WOT, it will go to 2WD at the 1st shift without letting off the gas pedal. The ecm is, in a sense, letting off the gas momentarily during the shift.

I guess I will have try that out, but the problem is that my truck with all the power just rips the tires through first and second as well as the bottom of third, so,I will have to switch frm 4 to 2wd in a higher gear. I guess another test would be to switch from 4 to 2 while I am still in first. But I will bet my house that you actally have to let off the throttle for at least a second or so for it to switch back into 2 wd.

why dont you just put it in auto and try it that way seeing how when the wheels spin the 4wd will engage and after it gains traction it will switch abck to 2wd

I'd be worried about the shock it would deliver when the front tries to lock after the rear is spinning under full power
