It all depends on your expectations. I was just over 6000lbs race weight and ran a 14.1 stock. I'd call that a win no mater what badge was on the front.

I'm not looking to boost this truck until I see good numbers with bolt ons. Going to try this again. I'm cutting 1.89 60ft on 22s which is good but wanna try a more lighter wheel next.

I think you will see a huge benefit with lighter wheels, those 22's have got to be hurting you a lot.

I'd like it to be a little quicker than my SS is off the bottle. It ran 14.8 @ 94ish stock back in 2005. I added CAI, LT headers, exhaust, underdrive pulley and a tune and ran a 13.6 @ 100 mph on 26x11.50x16 et streets. My SS is 2wd and weighs just under 5,000 lbs though.

These new Hemis especially with 8spd autos in Dallas are low 8.20 8.0 1/8 mile trucks. My buddies crew cab 8spd ran 9.70s in the 1/8 after 3.92s and a cold air with car removal and a tune he's **** runs 8.40s back to back
On the street he pulls me a good 2 solid trucks from a roll. Digs I'll leave him but he'll catch me around 80mph. These new Hemis are definitely making me trade in my truck or I'll lift it and give up on performance.
what's up dude. back on here. I have a 1500 ltz. 6.2 A8 with the max towing package. 3.42's. didn't think they moved that quick. how is everything?

What up man! Yeah got me a 2016 Denali A8 but gay 3.23 gears
Yeah IMO these new trucks aren't that great vs my GMT900. Pretty much gave up on it on the performance side of it.

Not sure how you can say that, if you have a good tune, ECM and TCM...the 6.2 and 8spd is very stout.

I think you should just stay after it. its not your gears. Your 1st gear is like a 4l60 with a 4.81 rear or a 4l80 with a 5.94 rear gear. Your mph is not very good also. A stock crew that car and driver tested ran 14.1 @99. Its probably your heavy wheels and tune. Your buddy has tiny lightweight tires or slicks and is 2wd with converter isn't it? I would've expected more with headers and exhaust but upgrades can be strange sometimes. Your truck has tremendous potential....snap out of the negative thoughts and just figure it out lol. Hell you've got the best engine trans combo going. Just stay with it and improve it. I would kill for your combo in my truck!!! Or just add a stock Whipple and run easy 7s at low boost. Best of luck my friend.
