Sierra 2011 camshaft selecting !! help
hello ,
I'm new member in this site .. I need your help to select the best cam for my truck ,GMC sierra 2011 single cab 5.3L 4x4 with 6speed trans
it's LMG (VVT & AFM & flex fuel) ,, with Magnaflow catback , Pacesetter long tube headers, Spectre CAI , Volant throttle spacer, MSD spark plug wires
I spoke with COMP cam's 2 times , I told them that I want to keep the vvt and afm the first guy told me check 689-421-13 vvt/afm and the second guy told me 689-422-13
I talked with a tuner he told me don't use vvt/afm cams because it's difficult to tune and it will damage your lifters, also it will not give power like the old style cam's.

Screw the AFM/Vvt cams. You won't have near the same potential and DOD liifters are like rolling dice. You will notice there is a reason those cams have super limited lift. Also if AFM/DOD is so great why don't the high performance cars have it?

Get a 216/220 cam and enjoy.
