Bump.

I just changed plugs in mine and it throw the " service stabilock and service traction control". Sob.

No codes. Re starting the truck didn't clear it. Drove fine but always flashing

Tomorrow I will try dissconnecting the battery.

Spent all night researching this

Steering wheel position sensor
Abs sensor
Wheel sensor
Throttle body
02 sensor
Bad coil, wire, plug
Randomly shut off

Seems like dealerships cannot find the cause and people keep changing parts until The lights turn off. Also saw that the trucks go into limp mode and people are almost crashing on the road.

Yesterday morning I fired it up and no lights. Put 100 miles on it and it's still good

Choda, you said no codes? What are you using for a scan tool?

If it's displaying that message, there should be a current or history code stored in one of the modules.

Dealership just replaced a speed sensor under warranty and pointed to it for the cause of the same problem you are describing

I have an 09 2wd CC Sierra. I bought the truck with 39k on it and since I bought it, whenever it would rain or I would go through a car wash or hit a puddle, the service stabilitrac/traction control message would appear along with the check engine light and the engine would go into limp mode ON COMMAND EVERY TIME. I finally had enough after it went into limp mode in the middle of an intersection while I was making an unprotected left turn and almost got t-boned. Took it to the dealership and they said this is a common problem with GMT 900's apparently. They said in their experience the cause of the problem has either been a bad throttle body or a bad accelerator pedal assembly. In my case they replaced the acc. pedal. I picked it up when it was pouring rain and even paid for a car wash. Whala it fixed the problem. To me this still makes absolutely no sense how a acc. pedal fixed the problem and all they could tell me is the code they pulled suggested a bad pedal so they replaced it.

Had this pop up on mine after my cam swap. What was causing it I suspect was a sensor that detected the vibration of my vehicle due to a misfire from a bad plug. Swap the plug hasn't done it since.

My 09 did the same thing. Bad throttle body. Gave me a good excuse to get the NW102.

Correct. No codes. No check engine light. No nothing but the display flashing service etc. I wonder if it was because I spun the pass front when I was working on it and all the others were never moved? Still no lights or problems.

Was using a 200 dollar obd2 scanner. Don't know the name of it off had but it displays a lot of info and does live graphing.

Bumping this, mine just started doing the same as Chodas this morning , no codes popping up, just the message on the DIC that says service brake system. Only The Brake light comes on for a bit then will go off. If i slow down, then get back up to highway speeds it will come on for a bit and go away again. No abs or check engine lights(or limp mode yet, fingers crossed).
