is this grill just the HD grill. this truck was one i saw on here and liked the grill.

I have a 2010 with the chrome grill/black mesh and want to get rid of the chrome and do a black one with chrome. I thought the HD grills need the HD hoods that have the strip on them. Am i wrong on this?

i think i will try to find one of those HD grills. I like the larger mesh in them. Im looking for one with a painted frame and chrome inserts if any one knows where one is at. Time to get rid of the the normal chrome LTZ grill

I found mine on Craigslist for $80, painted one you can find on eBay from 250-300.

I wish I could find one on Craig's list around here. There is never newer stuff on it up here in Montana. I have been watching eBay for a black painted one but nothing has showed up yet

From what I read about this swap is that the HD grill and front bumper come chrome and you would have to color match it.? Ive been looking into this swap as of the last couple weeks and thats the most accurate info Ive found so far.

I don't think you need to switch the bumper. Just add the grill. You can do the hood also so not has the strip on it. At least j think that's how it is

Found out more info. You can do the HD grille w/o doin the bumper or hood. The grille can be bought painted a factory color as I found out thru the dealer today but they are over $600 in color and around 300 for chrome. You just cant do bumper setup w/ our stock grille b/c it will interfere at the bottom corners being squared off instead of curved like the HD grille is

I will have to see if I can find a truck with the had grill. Not sure how much gap there will be on the bottom corners since there round. It might end up bugging me because they don't match the bumper profile.
