How to wire in boost gauge?

What year truck? There's a dimmer wire that comes off of the back of the headlight switch that's perfect for hooking gauges to. IIRC it's dark green on 99-02 and brown (maybe with black tracer?) on 03-06.

*nevermind, just saw this is in the GMT900 forum, this doesn't apply

So anyone know what wire to tap into on the dimmer switch panel? i am kind of working on it now and i am stumped.

BUMP. Still looking for which wire to tap into. My voltage meter will not fit into the prongs so i can't test it.

Unfold a paperclip and slip it between the contacts. Then you can use your voltmeter.

I went to the fuse in the box under the hood. Push the wire in the slot w the fuse and it works w the lights

An add-a-circuit is the best way to do that ^

I have one of those! I wanted to avoid going under the hood though. I want my boost gauge to light up when the interior lights come on when its dark out. Unfortunately my boost gauge decided to stop working so i had to send it back to Summit. Im SOL for now.

Use the fuse for the cluster in the interior fuse box on the dash beside the drivers door.
