Flexfuel pump swap into non Flexfuel NNBS ???

Bump.
Frank,
My catalog shows Delco #MU1847 (GM #19206531) as the stock fuel pump for a 2008 VortecMax 6.0 VIN Y. That should be the same exact part as what you removed. It lists AC Delco #MU1560 (GM #19208955) for a 2008 5.3 VIN 3 - flex fuel. That may be why yours was a direct drop in but Slammedsilvy's wasn't.
Slammedsilvy, did adding this pump require any adjustment to your tune? I appreciate the info you two have posted.

After a little more reading it appears that #MU1847 (GM #19206531) is not the same as what came in the 2007 models but an updated part for them. Not sure if this is a higher volume pump than what we had stock but it is not the same as a flex fuel for the 07 and 08 model years. After 2008 the pump numbers changed again so I'm sure that either the electrical connectors are different or the tank may have changed somehow...

I did the swap to a flex fuel pump for a 2009 truck (MU1852) and it was a direct drop in on my truck. I wasnt having fuel issues yet but am preparing for upgrades. This pump held solid rail pressure but has thrown the fscm fault 2635 and p069e which is the ecm version of the same thing. Anyone know if these can be eliminated?

You have to change out the fuel pressure control module with a flex fuel one to get rid of the codes. Edelbrock sells a kit that has everything you need for about $490, That is pump, fuel pressure control module and sending unit. Probably cheaper to buy separate though

I finally got this upgrade done last night after I got the FPCM off of ebay for a 2009 flex fuel truck. If you have the pump and the module, this is a 3 hour job to drop the tank, swap the pump, and install the flex fuel module. Before the module swap (flex fuel pump installed), the fuel pressure was 58 psi during light loads and dropped to 43 psi under boost. Now, those are flipped the way the original non-flex fuel system worked. Also, the new module got rid of the fpcm fault that was setting with just the flex fuel pump installed.
